This week I headed into Superdrug for a can of dry shampoo (Batiste of course) and left with a small bundle of makeup! Oops…
I just couldn’t help it! Turns out they have this awesome 3 for 2 deal across all cosmetics and nail products at the moment, which I just couldn’t say no to.
I’ve been looking for a matte eyeshadow palette for a while and after being so impressed with Revolution’s Eyes Like Angels palette, I decided to give this one a go too!
It was only £8 and has every shade from a nice bright white to a dark, dark grey; lots of neutral colours like beige and brown, some rose and pale pinks, and even a couple of light green-ish blues.
How could I say no to this? Look how adorable it is!
I’ve not actually tried any MUA products before this and I was a little dubious by how cheap they were – this little beauty was only £4 but so far I’ve been pleasantly surprised!
It’s very pigmented and I don’t need much on my brush at all. I went for the Peach Bloom colour (I do like my peach blushes!) and I love how warm the colour is, plus it has real depth to it. In some lights it looks more pink, in others you see the slightly more orange peach; it’s really lovely.
I’ve not worn it over a long period yet so I’m not sure how long-lasting it is but I’m sure I’ll post about it again soon 🙂
I’m normally pretty boring with my mascara – I usually go for a Rimmel one because I know I like them and this time was no different. My favourite, up to now, has been the ScandalEyes Volume Flash waterproof one, although I’m also a fan of the Kate Rockin’ Curves Mascara too.
But this time I decided to go for something a little different as this mascara was described as having the effect of tinting the eyelashes over time – which I need as I have the most boy-ish eyelashes you’ve ever seen. They’re flat, short and dull. Mascara is an essential for me.
The brush on this is tiny compared to what I’m used to using and I’ve not had a chance to try it out yet but I’m definitely excited to.
So this wasn’t exactly the selling point for me but it’s dead cute – when you buy 3 makeup items in Superdrug at the moment you get a free pompom charm. How adorable is that?!
